Lights & Switches functions as a contemporary remote control interface for smart home systems, offering users a streamlined way to manage their automation devices.

Once connected to supported home automation systems (*), users can customize control layouts, allowing for quick toggling of switches, real-time information display, and light control. The system supports configuration for one or multiple servers (**), providing flexibility in managing various devices and automation setups.

Controls such as light switches, dimmers, or temperature sensors can be resized and reordered, with the interface dynamically adjusting to utilize available screen space effectively, reminiscent of app icon layouts on a smartphone home screen.

Executing basic functions is intuitive: tapping a control will toggle associated devices, while a brief hold provides access to additional settings like dimmer adjustments. To reorganize controls, users can long-press anywhere to enter editing mode, then use double-taps to switch between moving or resizing controls. Drag-and-drop gestures facilitate repositioning or resizing, and tapping a control allows for renaming or changing its color and viewing supplementary details. Dragging a control into a corner of the screen creates new pages, with swipe gestures enabling navigation across multiple pages.

The free edition restricts connections to a single server and limits display to the first twenty controls per page. An in-app purchase unlocks support for multiple servers and an unlimited number of controls, enhancing customization and functionality.
